Prizes and awards for us at Optit are not a source of bragging rights. We see them as evidence of work done with passion; they inspire us to constantly reach for bigger challenges.

Award for research excellence in district Heating and cooling  to M. Pozzi, A. Bettinelli, F. Detassis, E. Filippini (A2A Calore e Servizi), S. Graziani, S. Morgione and D. Vigo for the paper on District heating network maintenance planning optimisation submitted and peer-reviewed as part of the programme of the 17th International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling in Nottingham, UK by the International Energy Agency Technology Collaboration Programme on District Heating and Cooling.

Best application paper AIRO 2017: Optit won the prize for best application paper in 2017. Optit donated the prize to AIROYoung, in support of the initiatives of young researchers in the field of operations research.

Digital Innovation SMAU: finalist in 2015, with the joint Optit-Heraambiente project.

Waste Logistics Innovation Challenge: project finalist in 2014, organised by Veolia.

EURO Excellence in Practice Award 2013: finalist with the project SPRINT “Optimization of Staff Management for Desk Customer Relations Services at Hera”, at the annual conference of EURO 2013 in Rome.

Wagner Prize for Excellence in Operations Research Practice: finalist with the project “SPRINT: Optimization of Staff Management for Desk Customer Relations Services at Hera” (internal link). This important prize for applied projects based on Operations Research was awarded by INFORMS, the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences in Minneapolis (USA) in 2013

EURO Excellence in Practice Award 2012: finalist with the project SPRINT “Optimization of Staff Management for Desk Customer Relations Services at Hera” (internal link). This award represents the highest European recognition for applied operations research, granted at EURO 2012’s annual conference in Vilnius (Lithuania).

Start Cup competition: Optit’s business plan was the victor in the Start Cup Competition 2006 Bologna-Imola, receiving €10,000 in financing to start the company and the use of the services of the business incubator Innovami in Imola (BO).
