Strategy, tactics, and operativity: planning the optimal process

Five million
tons per year

More than 100
treatment plants

With millions of tons of waste to handle every year, and hundreds of treatment plants and thousands of vehicles to manage every day, the objective is to optimise the overall margins of the company, bringing together strategic, tactical, and operational planning processes.

Our
solution

Optit faced the challenge with a sophisticated vertical solution, initially created from several proofs of concept, subsequently perfected to meet the challenges of the market. Engineering the structural processes of the industrial plan, budget, and forecast resulted in an application that optimises the flow of waste all through the process, including aspects of logistics and plant engineering. Similarly, Optit also created a “collaborative” module to make the allocation of a single trip with a one-week horizon more efficient. All the principal actors in the process were involved in creating the solution, in a holistic approach that incorporated the primary planning activities with other company systems. Significant increases in efficiency and effectiveness signal the unmistakable success of this undertaking.
