A webinar on the future of logistics decision-making
On June 24th, our COO Claudio Caremi will contribute to a webinar hosted by the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through collaboration in Europe | ALICE titled “Operational Excellence in Logistics: supporting decisions through AI and Digital Twins“ . The session will showcase real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twin technology in complex logistics contexts — highlighting how these tools can enable smarter, faster, and more resilient planning.
The webinar will explore how AI-driven solutions are reshaping both strategic decisions (such as network design and depot allocation) and operational processes (including dispatching, routing, and load building). Drawing from our hands-on experience across sectors, the presentation will include four concrete use cases that demonstrate measurable impact, from optimizing waste flows to improving car carrier dispatch strategies.
ALICE: Building the future of logistics in Europe
ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe) is a European Technology Platform recognized by the European Commission. Its mission is to drive innovation and collaboration across supply chains to achieve efficient, resilient, and zero-emission logistics. The network brings together industry players, research institutions, and technology providers who are committed to transforming logistics systems through digitalization, decarbonization, and cross-sectoral innovation.
As a member of ALICE, Optit actively contributes to Thematic Group 3, which focuses on systems and technologies for logistics decision support. The upcoming webinar is part of this group’s knowledge-sharing initiatives, aimed at exploring how advanced modelling, AI, and simulation techniques can support the transition toward operational excellence.
Learn from real-world experience
At Optit, we believe in bridging theory and practice. Our integrated approach — combining data science, software development, and consulting — has helped businesses across utilities, logistics, and retail turn decision-making bottlenecks into scalable, intelligent systems.
The four projects presented in this webinar are a testimony to how Digital Twins and AI can provide clarity in the face of growing complexity, enabling better decisions, faster reactions, and sustainable growth.
