Optit in support of the decarbonization of New York

Digital innovation is revolutionizing the energy sector and emerges as a crucial key in the transition towards a sustainable future.
Con Edison, the historic multi-utility company in New York, has undertaken an ambitious path to achieve the goals set by the city and the state of New York through policies such as the CLCPA or local laws on decarbonization and restrictions on the use of fossil fuels (LL97, LL154).
Thanks to deep expertise in managing and planning complex energy systems, Optit is actively contributing to the creation and implementation of the “green steam” plan. This plan envisions the gradual phasing out of natural gas for steam generation.

The collaboration between Optit and Con Edison focuses on the use of digital tools to enhance the performance of the current network through the creation of Digital Twins for the operational management of facilities and the potential impact of new technologies on the production mix. With this project, we continue to demonstrate commitment and professionalism in managing energy projects, assisting our clients in achieving their environmental and economic objectives.
Optit continues to lead the change, proving that digital optimization is the key to an efficient and environmentally friendly energy economy.
